Wedding Day

The Findells

WEDDING DAY

she is all so pretty

made up in her dress of white

she steps out of the shadows

and fills the room with light

you can’t help but feel

it’s all so strange

and when she looks your way

the molecules just rearrange

and everyone is staring at her face

and all the heavens bow down to her grace

you raise your glass and listen to them say

this is her wedding day

this is her wedding day

this is her wedding day

and all the boys that knew her

think of how they went wrong

they could hold her all night long

but they could never ever win her heart

how can it be...it’s tearing you apart

she can put on airs and

talk to strangers half the night

smile when cameras flash at her

and tilt her head just right

They all think that she’s so well composed

but you know what she’s like

when all the door are closed

she walks by, the room is in a spin

you think about the times she let you in

sip your drink and tell yourself again

this is her wedding day

this is her wedding day

this is her wedding day

She leans in the doorway

like a portrait in a frame

you want to call her name

but it’s all wrong, you don’t where to start

she has to know… it’s tearing you apart

You still have conversations with her

driving in your car

even when she isn’t there at all

The world is full of nothing

the world is full of everything

she breaks all your windows

she crashes all your walls

This is her wedding day (here comes the bride)

this is her wedding day
