Nervous

The Findells

NERVOUS

In my dreams I want to hold you tight

I want to dance with you into the night

But I’m afraid to open my heart

I make excuses. I don’t know where to start

You make me nervous. You make me nervous

I’m walking through windows

I’m looking through doors

I’m lying on the ceiling

staring at the floor

How can I make you understand

I really want your affection

But when you touch my hand

you got me running in a new direction

You make me nervous

I’m spinning out of control

You make me nervous

You shake me down to my soul

You make me nervous

I never know what to say

You make me nervous

I want to fa fa fade away

I try to be cool

Try not to tremble and shake

It seems so absurd

But I can’t speak a word

When you walk in the room

I (nearly) lose my breath

My blood pressure goes zoom

And I’m closer to death

When you look my way

I get the heebee jeebies

You give me fantods

You give me fidgets

And if you should smile

That’s it for a while

I’m utterly stunned

It’s over- I’m done

You make me nervous

all my senses are shot

You make me nervous

I’m in a Gordian knot

 BREAK

You make me nervous

I’m spinning out of control

You make me nervous

You shake me down to my soul

You make me nervous

I don’t know what to say

You make me nervous
I want to fa fa fade away
