The Findells: Music
helsinki
(The Findells)
There’s a little store on a country road
Where all the farmers and the housewives go
They sit and talk about the price of things
They’ve never even heard Of Helsinki
The kids all gather in their cars
Radios blasting loud with rock n’ roll guitars
They roll ‘em up and they burn ‘em down
A million miles away from Helsinki.
I remember that night at the Tastee Freeze
Leaning on my car- you walked right up to me.
You said something that I still can’t believe.
And for a moment in your eyes I thought I saw
Helsinki.
When the world is fast asleep
Up to the rooftop I go
I drive another nail and stare at the stars
I think of places far away,
Faces I have never known.
Sometimes I wonder what it’s like In Helsinki.
