Lost In Paradise

The Findells

Love Like a River

The Findells

My lady sleeps in silence, Sunlight all around her. The darkness does confound her, Her feet don’t touch the ground. And in the smaller hours She kneels among her flowers, She harvests simple powers The wind, the rain, the sun. She prefers the warmer seasons When nights are calm and easy. She never seems to tease me She never leads me on. And in the slightest breeze She flickers like a candle- Sometimes hard to handle Like wax around a flame. My love is a river That flows into a stream- A place where I can dream And never float away. And when I feel divided I can lie beside her And when I am inside her I am whole again.
